Privacy Policy
In short: you can play without an account, and your progress is saved on your device. Our advertising partners collect device information, including your advertising ID, to show ads. You can turn personalised ads off in the game's Settings. We use Unity Analytics to understand how the game is played; you can turn it off in Settings too.
This policy explains what information Word Connect by WordFolio (the "game") collects and shares. "We" means Grafton Pixel Studio, the game's developer.
1. Your game data
We do not ask for your name, email address or an account. Your game progress (levels, coins and other items, settings) is stored on your device.
2. Analytics
To understand how the game is played, fix problems and improve the levels, ads and shop, the game sends information to Unity Analytics, which processes it for us. This can include:
- the levels you complete;
- the ads you see, where in the game they appear, and the revenue they earn;
- your in-app purchases (which product and its price, never your payment details);
- when and how long you play;
- device and app information (such as model, operating system, language and game version) and your approximate location (country) derived from your IP address;
- an identifier that Unity Analytics creates for this installation of the game.
Analytics is on unless you turn it off: on the game's main menu, open Settings and switch Analytics off. To ask Unity Analytics to delete what it has collected, tap Delete my analytics data in Settings; this also turns analytics off. This information may be processed and stored outside your country or province, including in the United States. We do not use it to show you ads, and we do not sell it.
3. Advertising
The game shows ads through Unity LevelPlay and the ad networks it works with. To show and measure ads, for analytics and to prevent fraud, these partners collect information from your device, which can include:
- your device's advertising ID and other identifiers;
- your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
- device and app information (such as model, operating system, language and app performance);
- how you interact with ads and the game, which can include in-app purchases.
Ads may be personalised, depending on your device settings, your choice in the game and, where the law requires it, your consent. To turn them off, open Settings on the game's main menu and switch Personalized ads off (it is on until you do). The game then asks our advertising partners not to sell or share your information or use it for personalised ads. These partners handle this information under their own policies: Unity Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
4. Purchases
In-app purchases are handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We do not receive your payment details.
5. Sharing
We share information only with the partners described above, or when required by law. We do not sell your personal information for money. Some laws treat sharing information with advertising partners for personalised ads as a "sale" or "sharing"; you can opt out with the Personalized ads switch in the game's Settings (section 3).
6. Children
The game is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
7. Your choices and rights
- You can turn analytics off, or ask for what it has collected to be deleted, in the game's Settings (section 2).
- You can opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your information for personalised ads by switching Personalized ads off in the game's Settings (section 3).
- You can reset your advertising ID or turn off ad tracking in your device settings, which limits personalised ads.
- Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, and to opt out of its "sale", "sharing" or use for targeted advertising. To make a request, email us (section 10). We will not treat you differently for using these rights.
8. Keeping and deleting
You can delete the game data on your device by uninstalling the game or clearing its data, and ask for the analytics data collected from it to be deleted with Delete my analytics data in Settings. Unity Analytics keeps individual analytics events for 13 months and then deletes them; summary figures (such as daily player counts) and the analytics profile for this installation are kept until you ask for them to be deleted or we remove them. To ask us to delete information, email us or see Delete Your Data.
9. Security and changes
Information the game sends to our advertising and analytics partners is encrypted in transit. We will update this policy when the game's features or partners change, and change the date at the top.
